Visiting Kefalonia: my top 3 favourite locations

On my recent visit to Kefalonia, I rented a car with a friend and embarked on the island exploration. Kefalonia is a big island and there is so much to do and see that one day is not enough. However, if you do have a limited amount of time, I picked a few must see places in Kefalonia. Kefalonia is located west side of Greece mainland and is surrounded by Ionian sea. The island is known for its rugged landscaped, beautiful beaches and caves. With that in mind, Melissani Cave was our first stop! Melissani Cave Melissani Cave is one of the highlights of the Kefalonia island and this is according to locals. The cave is located north-west of the town Sami and it’s positioned inland rather than on the sea coast. It has the most beautiful and blue water ever and I was so happy to see it. We took a little boat around the cave and managed to take a bunch of lovely photos, thanks to our friendly boat driver.
