August 2016 My Texas Market Review & Coupon

It never fails.... We've only just begun the school year and already I have a sick child. There is no rest for a Momma when her baby (yes, he's 9 but he will be my baby forever, ok?). My week has pretty much been utterly devoted to tending to him. Luckily, he is finally on the mend so I have time to catch up and share the August My Texas Market box with my dolls!

My Texas Market, who kindly sent me this box for review, is a Texas based artisan subscription service. The cost is $35 per month (save 25% off your first box with coupon code MAIL25) and includes an array of products from vendors and small businesses throughout Texas. It's like the best of a southern farmers market carefully tucked into a box!

This month's box theme is Gulf Coast Summer. Each item in this box is inspired by "Sun, sand and the 600 miles of gulf coast that line the Lone Star State."

The included info card gives you all the details on each item featured in the August box.

Yellowbird Jalapeño Hot Sauce --- This is a gigantic bottle of hot sauce! Yellowbird's mission is to make some crazy delicious, totally natural, veggie based sauces made from locally sourced produce. They focus on bringing out the natural flavors of the spicy peppers rather than the heat. This particular sauce is a simple blend of red jalapeños, carrots, onions, and garlic.

Salve Naturals Refresh Hydrating Mist --- Salve is an all natural and organic skin care line that crafts their products with healthier and sustainable living in mind. This hydrating mist is made with ingredients like menthol, peppermint, spearmint and rosemary and works to hydrate, revitalize, and revive distressed skin. It feels and smells fabulous and it's also quite nice on sunburned skin.

Salve also included a bonus sample of their calming clove & oatmeal soap!

South Texas Milling Inc. Gulf Coast Fish Fry --- This fish fry comes from South Texas Milling Inc, a fourth-generation, family owned and operated business. It's a special blend of stone ground cornmeal and spices that give fish a light and crispy coating. Super flavorful and made with no additives or preservatives.

Dallas Caramel Co. This brand is amazing and I've been a fan of their yummy caramels for quite some time now. The two flavors featured are from their Gulf Coast Summer box: Sea Salt and Texas Drunken Nut. Handcrafted and made fresh to order, these caramels are soft, perfect and made with all natural ingredients. I love the Sea Salt but the Drunken Nut (made with fresh picked pecans and Texas blended whiskey) are out of this world.

Sweet Home Bath & Body Foot Scrubby --- So, I see this and I'm like, "what the crap is this thing?" but then I look at the tag and I get very excited! This foot scrubby is made by dipping Texas farmed, natural loofah in handcrafted soap. The soap is made with nourishing cocoa butter, skin softening oils, Rhassoul, sea clays, fragrant essential oils and menthol crystals. It's just so soothing and amazing!

I don't understand how My Texas Market finds so many amazing new products each month. It boggles my mind. Bold flavors and fantastic natural skincare abound in this month's box and I loved it all!
