Of course small local businesses such as corner shops and the like are not included within this judgement, but others, those supplying services and goods normally need something that allows people to refer to them, to find them in a basic way. Most of us spend huge amounts of time online. Back in the old days all you could see were people with a newspaper, magazine or such printed matter in front of them – on the bus, the park bench, in the pub, the cafe. Now it is a case of eyes and hands fixed on phones, tablets, laptops, desktop screens.
