Quick post

Howdy strangers!
Sorry I haven't posted in a while..been really busy.

So just for blogging sake and to make sure you don't lose interest, here's a quick update post.

OK, Sala's FINALLY home.  She bought her beautiful self home and lots of lovely treasures as well.  She's already back at school and doing really well (but there was no doubt).  In a nutshell, she's awesome.

One of the many treasures Sala bought home was a laptop (^.^) and it is so pretty and new and perfect!  I tell you more about it when I finished decorating it.  I decided to go with a "deco den" theme and so far so good.  I got my camera in the mail as well, turns out I didn't really do my homework that well because my wonderful camera is just a point and shoot, not a DSLR like I was lead to believe...FMLAND it came with no charger! I haven't bothered to ask the guy I bought it from because it wasn't advertised with the camera but I still think its really stupid to sell something with an integral part missing!  So, I still need to get another battery for it and a charger (I think Lil has one...? Don't want to buy!) and then I can take stunning photos like my favourite blogger - Xiaxue, and I have finished blinging it so here are a few pics of my pretty creation.

What do you think?  Not bad for a first timer right?

(I don't know why this pic keeps turning on its side when its the right way up when I upload it...Gah!)

...and for your entertainment, I have provided a "before" pic of my laptop...

I LOVE my little ponies, so I made it my screen saver
(much to Tiki's dismay lol)

I still haven't finished it so in my next post, which will be all about my new blinged gadgets, there will be tons of pictures filled with glitter-bombed stuff.  Sala said I might need an intervention, Tiki agrees. I Laughed out loud. I think if I try to bling Legend then I might need help, but for now I'm good.

I'm still smoke free and so is Tiki.  It's been an up and down ride and at times we have both admitted to wanting a smoke but I have made a vow to myself that I truly believe in, that I NEVER  want to touch another cigarette again. EVER.
I'm so proud of us and I keep trying to get others to quit as well, I guess they don't really think I'm a good enough ambassador since its only been 25 days, and it probably seems a bit premature to them for me to say things like "You should quit oi, it's bad for your health" or "Quit now so you can have many more years to live" or "Do you know how much money you could save if you quit?". I could go on for days but my voice can get a bit naggy so I stop for their sake.

Speaking of the cost of smoking, did I mention that smokes have gone up in price as of 01/01/2012 and that if Tiki and I continued to smoke we would be spending around $70 a week! That's a lot of money, especially when you put it into a yearly budget perspective. On average we could have spent almost $4000 on cigarettes alone in one year! Fuck me ragged! I could think of millions of things I would rather spend that kind of money on! I try to tell other smokers about this ridiculous cost and although most nod their head or mumble some sort of agreement, I know they are only thinking about their next smoke.  Ah well, its their body and all I'm trying to do is add a few more years to their lives.  OMFG, I get so preachy when I quit smoking!  My family probably rolls their eyes behind my back when I drone on about being a non smoker and that they should also be non smoking...eh who cares.

Ummm...I think that's it, I have touched all bases. I have to get back to my deco den project - results soon! ;) So much for it being a quick post LOL!
