How prepared are you?

“Preparation is everything. Noah did not start building the ark when it was raining”. Warren Buffet

We all have dreams, desires and aspirations. We all have that part of us crying for expression, we all seek MORE. Higher responsibilities, higher status, higher results and of course higher pay. In sharp contrast you will discover that the same people seeking MORE and HIGHER are not actually preparing for it, many think “The higher you go the cooler it becomes”, that could be true in science but never true in life. It will never get cooler, the only difference is that wise men have devised ways, formulas and laws to cope and exceed via the tool of Preparation.

noun

1.a proceeding, measure, or provision by which one prepares for something: preparations for a journey.

2.any proceeding, experience, or the like considered as a mode of preparing for the future.

A lot rise and fall on preparation, it doesn’t matter if you have the talent for it, but if you are not prepared for it you can never be exceptional at it. While we earnestly look forward to that place we dream of , a question that should stay pertinent on our hearts is, how prepared are we? The office of a CEO is one I dream of and I know I will be one day but am I ready for it? or at best am I preparing for it?

Preparation is all important because it prepares you for the burden of the crown. Unknown to many of us carrying the cross of preparation helps us stand strong enough to bear the weight of the crown because the crown is heavier than the cross. It takes more discipline, more and more of everything. The standard will never be lower because you are now in a higher office, so if you can not follow through the pains of preparations now, how will you be able to survive in that day?

A word is enough for the wise!
