Clean Your Carpet

No matter how much a carpet is taken care of. Regardless of how much care it receives. Inevitably a carpet will have to bear with spills, drops, pet incidents and accidents.

In this Article, you learn how to get rid of these spills, drops, and accidents without using a vacuum.

Washing a carpet, again and again, will shrink its fibers. It is not a good option. If you wash your carpet often then soon you will have to get help from a carpet stretching service.

These 6 secrets will help you clean and deodorize your carpet using only regular household items. We will start with the Secret to remove the most common spill on the carpet. Beer and wine spill.

Secret # 1 – Use Club Soda

This is one of those items that can be found in any regular household. It is easily available in every corner store.

The proper way to remove the beer or wine stain from the carpet is to apply soda on the affected area. Leave it for a few hours and then vacuum.

If the spill was a little too much than use vinegar with the soda.

Mix vinegar and water 50% each. Spray the resulting liquid of the carpet and let it sit. Clean the area with a sponge after 15 to 20 minutes.

Secret # 2 – Shaving Cream

Using Shaving Cream for cleaning regular stains is a good option. Shaving cream effectively removes stains without causing any damage to the carpet.

To properly get rid of the stain in the first try apply the shaving cream on the stain and let it sit. Make sure to keep it sitting for at least 30 minutes. Once the shaving cream is set, clean it away using a towel or similar kind of cloth.

Apply secret # 1 after cleaning off the shaving cream.

Secret # 3 – Ice Cubes

If there are children in a home then sooner or later a chewing gum is going to find its way to a carpet. This secret is especially effective for chewing gum.

Secret # 4 – Dish Washer Detergent

When it comes to cleaning greases off the carpet then nothing is more effective then detergent. Dishwashing detergent serves as a grease cutting agent.

Pour a few drops of detergent in a cup. Fill it half with water and mix. Spray the resulting mix on the grease stain and dab the affected area to remove the stain. Be careful not to rub the stain. It will spread the stain even further instead of removing it.

Secret # 5 – Heating

Use iron and a towel. Place the towel on the affected area and iron it until the wax is soft enough to be pulled off. When most of the wax is taken off place a paper on the remaining. Melting wax will stick to the paper and leave the carpet unstained.

Secret # 6 – Club Soda And Vinegar

Club soda and vinegar are good for removing stains. A longer session with a few tweaked steps can do a little more magic.

To remove those pet accidents from the carpet there are two options. One is to give a call to carpet pet odor removal service and the other the method explained in the following para.

Sprinkle the baking soda on the carpet. Use a broom to rub the soda into the fibers. Sprinkle more soda once you are finished. Create a thick layer of baking soda on the affected area. Leave it untouched for a day or two.
