Traveling to The Queen City of the South

The beautiful Cebu City lies in the center of the metro. It is considered as the oldest city in the Philippines, playing the role of the first capital of the country as well. Also known as the Queen City of the South, Cebu houses a number of tourist spots which makes tourism a thriving industry.

Cebu is also a home to beautiful people known as Cebuanos. For many tourists, men and women from Cebu have captured their hearts. It’s no wonder why there is a rise of Cebu City marriage service companies in the place. Men and women from Cebu are naturally kind, polite, and hospitable. They embody the Filipino traits everyone loves.

Whale Watching

Perhaps a perfect Cebu city date or getaway would be whale watching in Oslob, Cebu city. People are given the opportunity to swim  and take pictures with whale sharks. These gentle giants have attracted thousands of tourists over the years as they provide a very beautiful experience for foreigners which is not really available anywhere else.

Waterfalls Hopping

Cebu is also rich when it comes to waterfalls. The Kawasan falls, Mantayupan falls, Bugasok falls, and Binalayan Hidden falls are some of the most enchanting waterfalls any person will ever see. These waterfalls look like paintings especially in pictures. Tourists are heavily drawn to these bodies of water because of the beautiful sceneries they offer.

Beach Day

Cebu is also famous for its beautiful beaches. The coastal areas of Cebu have been developed mostly into high-class beach resorts that offer heavenly refuge to tourists. Clear blue waters and sandy beach shores are easy to find in Cebu. Fortunately, these lovely beach shores are not only available to expensive resorts, they can also be found in small-scale ones. A beautiful sunset in the beach is a common sight in Cebu.

Safari Park

An addition to the awesome spots in Cebu is the newly opened Cebu Safari Park. This park houses over 110 different animal species. It also features a 30-year old orchid garden collection of the owner. It is the first Safari park in Cebu to have ever housed animals such as giraffes, zebras, cheetahs, antelopes, flamingos, and more. The place is perfect for both kids and adults who would love to get in touch with nature.

Historical Tours

Being the oldest city in the country, Cebu also holds plenty of historical sites such as Magellan’s Cross, Fort San Pedro, and ancestral houses. Several tour companies offer a tour package for these historical sites. These historical sites provide tourists a quick overview of what took place in Cebu during the Spanish colonization in the 1800s. Not only are these places instagrammable, they are also very educational.

Cebu is definitely a must-visit place for tourists who visit the Philippines. Aside from the welcoming Cebuanos, there are a lot of beautiful places in Cebu which offer lifetime experiences you will never find in anywhere else in the Philippines.
