Miss Nigeria is an annual beauty pageant event that took off in the year 1957 and designed to showcase the beauty and intelligence, boost the confidence and expose other potentials in Nigerian women.
Participants include models and all who are within the age limit that think they have all it takes to be the winner.
Miss Nigeria Beauty Pageant always witness large turnout of dignitaries from across Nigeria and some parts of the world.
Participants dress in various attires including traditional wears, gowns, swimming wears etc., and catwalk on the stage to the cheers of the spectators and the display of the Nigerian culture. There are always criteria for determining who emerges the winner such criteria is always worked out by the panel of judges or the organisers of the event.
Miss Nigeria Beauty Pageant has significantly affected the lives of women positively due to the fact that the participants who emerge the winner will smile home with a handsome reward. Moreover, the participant after undergoing training overcomes stage fright and is bold enough to face the public.

Anybody who wants to apply for Miss Nigeria beauty pageant must be
- Between 18 to 25 years of age.
- A Nigerian citizen
- Healthy
- Single and not pregnant
- Good orator that can flow in the English language
- A lady without any form of mark or drawings such as tattoos and others.
