How to deploy Apple Classroom App with 42Gears UEM solution

Apple Classroom app allows teachers to control and monitor school-issued iPads that students use in the class.  Teachers can have better control of these iPads which greatly reduces the manual configuration by enabling device sync with an MDM solution. 42Gears UEM solution can do all the essential installation steps and configuration tasks on teachers’ behalf which saves Classroom learning time and effort.

Prerequisites

  • iOS 10.3.2 later
  • iPads should be of 4th generation or later
  • iPad mini 2 or later
  • Student-owned iPads must have Supervised Mode enabled
  • 42Gears UEM account

Steps to deploy Apple classroom with 42Gears UEM

1. Login to your 42Gears UEM Web Console.

2. Go to Profiles > iOS >Education > Configure.

3. Enter Classroom Name and click Add.

4. After adding the classroom, enter a Profile name, Organisation Name and use Teachers and Students Devices section to assign them devices.

5. Once done, click on Save.

6. Go to Home, select the devices or groups and click Apply.

Once successfully completed, the iPads in the classroom can now be monitored, controlled and managed by the teacher.
