Samsung has finally started rolling out the much-awaited Android 8.0 Oreo update for Galaxy Note 8. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Android Oreo update is currently rolling out in France, while the Samsung has officially scheduled the global rollout of Oreo update for March 30.
Just like before, the major OS update is rolling out to Samsung’s flagship device just as its S-series flagship goes on sale, a trend that Samsung has been following for quite some time now.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Android Oreo update carries the firmware version N950FXXU3CRC1 and brings the latest Samsung Experience U.I 9.0 along with March security patch as well, but the S-pen features remain unchanged. You can also check the full changelog below.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Android Oreo update brings picture-in-picture support, which makes it a bit easier to multitask without losing sight of content or a video call. You’ll also get notification dots and new emoji, and much more.
The Samsung Experience U.I 9.0 brings host of new features features like a customizable keyboard, new emoji, stickers, Bixby briefing, new color lens display settings, dual apps, enhanced DeX support, better search – Finder gains search cards for contacts, settings, files as well as results from the Galaxy and Play stores and many more.
If you are Note 8 users from France, you should be able to download the Android Oreo update from the Settings » Software update menu on your device. As the update just started rolling out, it might be a while before it reaches everyone. We will let you know once Oreo update for Note8 starts rolling out in other markets.
