Wealth without Health is a tragedy

We have all heard of the traditional ways to become wealthy such as: inheritance, investing, and through marriage.

However, the one common method that it seems like everyone is pushing today is GRINDING.

What I mean by grinding is, to have a crazy strong work ethic. No days off. Balls to the wall. 24 hours per day, 7 days per week GRIND!

This means that whatever venture you are involved in, dive head first into it without looking back. Go full throttle, using 100% of your Energy and effort.

I have to attest that this method does work. Granted, you’re in a business that offers you the ability to make a large income in a short amount of time.

Nonetheless, in order to grind you have to take a few things into consideration.

Energy

In order to grind you need energy. And as we all know, energy comes from getting a sufficient amount of sleep, proper diet and exercise.
Unfortunately, the other sources for energy are: illegal drug use, energy drinks that are loaded with sugar & caffeine, and drinking several cups of coffee.

Now I know most of you guys are going to get on me for mentioning coffee, so we’ll over look coffee for now.

But as for the others, those are very serious habits which will ultimately affect your Health in the end.
Sure they’ll help you get the job done at that very moment, by giving you the extra boost that you need, but you have to seriously ask yourself, is it really worth it in the end?

Food

Anyone who has ever grinded for an entire day knows that eating healthy is often times a luxury. Meaning, there will be many days when you are so busy with work that you either skip a bunch of meals and snack on junk food throughout the day, or you order fast food simply because it’s just that, FAST FOOD. Not to mention, it’s convenient. Which in most cases, is the main reason why you eat it.

As you know, having this as a daily routine will surely lead you to having a gut and a double chin in no time.

Although those extra pounds may seem harmless at first, sickness and disease have a funny way of sneaking up on you. While you may appear to be somewhat healthy on the outside, the inside of your body may be carrying future illnesses that have not yet surfaced. Many illnesses take several years before you see their effects. I’m no medical doctor, however, some things are just common sense. Haven’t you ever heard of the saying, “You are what you eat?” There’s more truth to that saying than you know.

Exercise

As I mentioned before, a large source of our energy comes from the strength and endurance that we gain from exercising. Unfortunately, since grinding requires so much of your time and energy, it’s very common to use the little free time and energy that you have left in the day for relaxing with your friends and family.

With all that has been said, is grinding to blame?

Of course not!

Don’t blame it on the grind.

There are many people who grind daily, while maintaining perfect health.

The problem is and will always be, your level of discipline, time management, and will power.

Having the will power to say no thank you when the free pizza arrives… Being disciplined enough to have your meals prepared and packed before heading to work… And lastly having enough self love to stay away from the fast food chains and corner spots when you’re hungry.

Now ask yourself this question…

Are you willing to trade your health for your success? To me, your success should be linked to your health as well.

When you think about it, how successful are you really, if you create this huge fortune and die in your late 40’s or 50’s because of your poor eating habits? How sad would that be? Sure your family will be set for life financially, but if you had a chance to have both, your health and wealth, would you not take it? Becoming grossly over weight or having a heart condition is not going to make your life more enjoyable either.

Money is known to give people Freedom. Freedom to explore and travel the world. Freedom to spend time with their family. Freedom to try expensive adventurous activities, and so on.

Poor health is known to take away peoples freedom. Wheelchairs, medication, specialist, time consuming doctor visits, surgery, and breathing machines. Lets not forget about the pain, discomfort, dizziness, memory loss, lack off energy, loss of hearing or sight and so on.

Don’t be dismissive by saying this comes with old age. Whether you like it or not, the cause of most illnesses are the result of having a poor diet.

Take responsibility for your health because no matter how many dollars you earn, when that time comes and you are facing the music, I’m sure you will gladly trade it all for just one more day to be alive

I personally don’t mind saying it how it is. Just like you have the free will to eat your Big Mac, I am free to wake up people to what they are unconsciously doing to themselves. Make the right choice for yourself and your family.

Remember, with every opportunity, sacrifices will have to be made.  Just don’t allow your health to be one of them.

Strive to have both, wealth and HEALTH!

You’re worth it!
