my skincare routine 2018

hey cuties!

plenty of people have asked me about my skincare routine and how to get better skin so you won't look like a nightmare without makeup, although the main difference between me and the poeple who usually ask me this is that i don't wear makeup ((using tons of makeup daily won't let your skin breathe, may clog the pores and suffocate the skin. you won't be able to get all that natural vitamin D from the sun, although layers of makeup can protect your skin from harmful UV rays.))
another thing that i suggest you to avoid using are those really cheap face maks/skincare products overall. if you actually want your skin to improve please read the ingredients label on your skincare products and do not put toxic on your face !!! (those cheap face masks usually include a lot of toxic ingredients). i suggest to invest in your skincare products just a little bit more and the difference in results may be terrific.
one brand that i mostly use (i didn't even realize how much until i started making this post) is The Body Shop. their products are cruetly free, a lot of their products are even vegan, which means that they definetly do not include toxics at all.
oh and before we move on to my skincare routine i have to give you all that basic advice: DRINK WATER! and STAY HYDRATED! i know it may sound cliche and nothing important but it actually does affect your skin and overall welfare (mood, motivation etc) a lot !! try to make drinking water a habit !! (there's a cute app for that called Plant Nanny (i talked a little bit about it in my new year's post)

moving on to my skincare routine!

i start my skincare routine by washing my face for about one minute with my Clinique brush (it has a timer) and the product i use for washing my face is The Body Shop's tea tree face foam.
tbh this face brush changed my skincare routine (and skin) a lot !! my face felt much smoother and softer after first using already c:

 

when my face is all dry, i use The Body Shop's tea tree mattifying toner and once that has dried i apply The Body Shop's tea tree oil as the final step so my skin won't dry out. ( instead of face cream )


well that's basically it and yes, i have the exact same skin care routine in the evening c:

i also try to do face mask once or twice a week and the mask i use is this amazing Himalayan Charcoal face mask from ... wait for it ... The Body Shop and it's honestly AMAZING. it's a little bit painful for few seconds after applying but it's like a good kind of painful. like you know that it's cleaning your skin kind of painful.  and i usually wash my face with the fuji green tea scrub before applying the mask, which makes the mask even more effective!
after i'm all done with the mask, i usually apply the toner and tea tree oil that i mentioned earlier.
