2018 Mahindra XUV500 Facelift – Launch Date
The refreshed 2018 Mahindra XUV500 Facelift is expected to be launched very soon around mid April 2018. It is also understood that the dispatches of the new XUVs have already commenced to dealerships indicating the possible launch very soon.
2018 Mahindra XUV500 Facelift – Engine
Though the 2018 Mahindra XUV500 Facelift version is expected to retain the same existing 2.2 litre mHawk turbocharged diesel engine which will be tweaked for enhanced power and performance. The engine will churn out 155 Bhp of power at 3,750 rpm and 360 Nm of torque at 1,750-2,800 rpm. The standard model will have 6-speed manual gearbox and will also offer option to get an automatic gearbox. The new XUV will be able to deliver mileage of 15.4 kmpl as tested by ARAI. It is expected that the company will offer the 2018 Mahindra XUV500 Facelift version in five diesel and single petrol variants.

The internals of the XUV are likely to get a more premium look. It will get tan-colored leather seats, with quilted cross stitching and royal tan upholstery. The all black dashboard will employ soft touch plastic material which will add to premium quality feature. The new XUV will also have updated infotainment system with blue tooth enabled smartwatch app under its BlueSense banner. If will also offer a ‘Technopack’ which will enable the users to connect to various apps like Gaana.com, BookMyShow and will also get features like Cricket update and many more. Yes! The infotainment system will also have Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The major changes that are expected in the 2018 Mahindra XUV500 Facelift version will be in the rear fascia with other design updates. The front gets new profile with new grille and redesigned bumper. The rear will get more stylish changes. The tail lamps will have a conventional design departing from the existing elongated tail-lamps. The other updates include new 18-inch alloy wheel, LED daytime running lamps (DRLs), projector headlamps, automatic climate control, auto-dimming inside rear view mirror etc. Mahindra has added two additional exterior paint shades, Mystic Copper and Crimson Red to 2018 Mahindra XUV500 Facelift portfolio along with the four shades of the outgoing model.

The price of the new 2018 Mahindra XUV500 Facelift has not been revealed yet by the company officially but it is expected to remain in the same price bracket as the outgoing XUV with slight upward revision. Presently the outgoing Mahindra XUV500 falls in the price bracket of Rs. 12.5 lakh to 18.5 lakh.
