(And Yet, She May Not Understand)

Dear fellow husbands,

You may want to buy a new car. You may “dream” about this new hatchback. You already picture in your mind to drive this car around alone.. (Sorry.. With your wife and family of course). As a “breadwinner” in your family and as a fully responsible man, you want to make your family happy. You want to buy them a car. And now, there’s a top performing car in affordable price in front of you. It promises you great engine, aesthetic design, and convenience drive. Your wife will be happy if you buy it. Everything sounds perfect, right?

But, here’s the truth:

Sometimes even our loved one doesn’t understand. They need reasons. They need a kind of “logical” explanation. So, if you need reasons why both of you should “cut” her shopping budget and saving money for this car instead, here’s my recommendation:

10 “logical” reasons why Maruti Suzuki Swift 2018 is the right choice for your family 

1. “This car makes your husband looks SPORTY and MATURE”

You can tell your wife that some cars are designed “evolutionary”, but this new hatchback is REVOLUTIONARY designed. The Maruti Suzuki Swift 2018 is not only looks a lot fresher and more modern, but is also larger in size. (Don’t forget to emphasize the “LARGER”). It looks more planted because of the increase in width and slight decrease in length.

You can tell to your lovely wife this;

“Honey, the front-end is now has a much wider grille. It makes the car’s nose looks much sportier. And you may notice, honey. The most eye-catching detail is the floating-roof effect created by blacked-out pillars. Can you sense it?”

If she is still not convinced, show her the headlights. They look a lot more premium and have LED fixtures.  Also mention the rear end. The rear section looks more exclusive than other cars. Show her that in the new model, the width increased really apparent.

Don’t forget to tell her about the new tail lights. They are now slightly square-ish profile. It makes the car (again) looks more premium.

Or…

If she still looks confused, just simply show her the pictures of older version of this car. If it’s not enough, you can compare it with your neighbor’s car. When your wife knows that this new hatchback is better than her neighbor, she will urge you to buy. Problem solved.

2. “This engine is like my love for you; TRIED and TESTED”

 Don’t tell this to your wife:

“No massive improvement at the engines. The new Maruti Suzuki Swift 2018 specifications aren’t drastically different from those of the outgoing car. In other words, all of the engines have been recalibrated for the new car. Both of the engines are mated to a five-speed manual transmission as standard. Of course, there’s an AMT options for both.

The diesel engine is able to produce a maximum power of 74 Bhp along with a peak torque of 190 Nm. While on the other hand, the Petrol engine outputs 82 Bhp and 113 Nm. All of these engines have been on duty in several other Maruti cars. It offers a high reliability and refinement.”

Or, just tell it anyway. She won’t understand right. If she finally asked why it has the same engine, simply tell her; “That’s the beauty of the car. The engine is not replaced because it’s like my love for you; it has been tested. For years.” 

3. “It has higher mileage. Like me…10 years ago.” 

Because the new car is lighter than its predecessor, and even comes with re-tuned motors, it’s no surprise that the new Maruti Suzuki Swift 2018 ends up offering a much higher mileage. You know, the diesel motor offers an ARAI-rated fuel mileage of, take a deep breath, 28.4 KMPL.

On the other hand, the petrol engine offers an ARAI-rated fuel mileage of 22 KMPL. Pretty efficient, right? Even in real world usage, this car can return up to 20 KMPL with the petrol engine and around 25 KMPL with the oil burners.

With its higher fuel efficiency, the Swift just got cheaper to commute. We all are sure that this factor will be a great selling point.

 Picture a mature wise man. A George Clooney may be. Or Amitabh Bachchan. They exude confidence and calmness. Being their wife, they may feel calm no matter what the conditions are. That’s what we feel when we drove the new Swift.

You know, we drove it on some winding roads and had a lot of fun pushing the new hatchback in corners. The new Maruti Suzuki Swift 2018 is definitely a lot more fun when apex-hunting. The flat-bottom steering wheel also feels good to hold. And, it isn’t too light or vague.

5. “It makes your life full of VIBRANT COLOR” 

If you are looking for a stylish car that exudes youth personality, this new Maruti Suzuki Swift 2018 is the right choice. It is available in as many as 6 vibrant colors such as;

• Magma Grey
• Fire Red
• Lucent Orange
• Silky Silver

• Midnight Blue

Which one is your favorite or your wife’s? Best is! You know, let her decide.
