Learn To Conquer Evil Thoughts

“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down Strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.”
2 Corinthians 10:4-5

When you are believing God for healing or supernatural provision for instance, reasoning will tell you that it can’t happen, that you can’t be healed or the money you are believing God for will not come. To breakthrough, you have to cast down such reasoning; this may not be easy as it is a fight of faith you must win.

When the scripture says, “…casting down everything that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. ” It is talking about any kind of knowledge that exalts itself against the knowledge of God and His Word; it is referring to human knowledge – that is, “sense knowledge” or logic; if it is in opposition to what God’s Word reveals then cast it down.

The scripture also tells us to bring every thought into captivity. Notice the Bible does not say you should cast your thought out but bring every thought into captivity. According to John 1:1, Jesus Christ is the Word of God, and also John 1:14, the Bible says the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, so Jesus Christ is the Word of God. We can therefore read 2 Corinthians 10:5 thus: “Bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of the Word of God.” Today, let God’s Word dominate your thoughts.

CONFESSION
I bring every contrary thought captive to the obedience of the Word of God. I am a believer, not a doubter. I have faith, and my faith is in God’s Word. The word is in my spirit and I allow it to have free course in my life, in Jesus’ Name.

KEEP IN MIND
You must constantly cast down every negative reasoning and imagination and you must bring every thought to the obedience of God’s Word.
