Caste based reservation system in India - is it still necessary ????

No! Absolutely No!the hell No!!
Reservations are the biggest enemy of meritocracy. By offering reservation through relaxed entry criteria, we are fuelling inflation of moderate credentials as opposed to the promotion of merit based education system, which is the foundation of many progressive countries. Meritocracy should not be polluted by injecting relaxation of entry barriers, rather should be encouraged by offering financial aids to the underprivileged although deserving candidates only. Today the NTs and IIMs hold a high esteem in the global scenario due to their conservation of merit.

This reservation system on the basis of caste is one of the reasons that is holding back our country and corrupting our nation internally. This system is feeding on our education system like a termite, making it more vulnerable and more weak. Well, basically this reservation provide privileges on the basis of their castes in our education system and job placements.  And the castes which are benefited from this damn quota system are scheduled caste, scheduled tribes(SC/ST) and other backward classes (OBC).
Yes, i know this whole idea of giving privileges on the basis of castes is totally crap!! totally!! but it is still flourishing in our country's roots, decaying it slowly and slowly.
You know why this bloody reservation system still exists, only because of some stupid so called "politicians" who are afraid to loose their precious votebanks.
But, all this doesn't mean that I am against or do not support reservation system, but instead of giving privileges on the basis of castes it should be given according to financial conditions. And because of this system students who deserves the chance, which they have rightfully earned is snatched away just like that. And one of the clear example which shows the discrimination towards the general castes or the people who deserves the rightful chance is this -

JEE-Mains cut off list 2017

Just see this ..really students who belong in the common rank list or general category, what about them, what they have done that they are getting punished like this , this is just not a cut off list. It's a gamble, it's a joke and it's also a clear violation of equality which our government promise us. The same can be seen in almost every civil examinations like JEE mains and advance and even in NEET. Government is not only playing with the students life but also with the future of our nation.

In India most of the scholarships or student aid is available only to—SCs, STs, BCs, OBCs, women, Muslims, and other minorities. Only about 0.7% of scholarships or student aid in India is based on merit.

Maybe this quota system on caste was needed and it had proved itself useful, but only in the last century. When SC/ST and OBC's were not given equal rights as others. And it was right then, when there was a need to bring up them as equal to others.
Originally, it was only established for 10 years, but decade by decade politics interfered and corrupted the whole system and used it to ask votes for the same.
Conclusion:
The issue of reservation has remained a cause of disagreement between the reserved and the non- reserved sections of the society. While the unreserved segments, keep on opposing the provision, the neediest sections from within the reserved segments are hardly aware about how to get benefited from the provision or even whether there are such provisions.
Whereas the creamy layer among the reserved segment is enjoying special privileges in the name of reservation and political leaders are supporting them for vote banks. Reservation is no doubt good, as far as it is a method of appropriate positive discrimination for the benefit of the oppressed and economically backward Sections, the society but when it tends to harm the society and ensures privileges for some at the cost of others for narrow political needs, as it is now, it should end as soon as possible.
