2019 Audi Q4 Review and Analysis

The revised 2019 Audi Q4 model is slated to grace the dealership toward the end of the calendar year 2019. Production is on-going at Audi’s manufacturing plant in Győr, Hungary. The new Audi Q4 is a rakish five-seater vehicle, which shares the same MQB underpinnings with the second-generation Q3.

It will likely compete with the redesigned Range Rover Evoque, BMW X2, and Mercedes-Benz GLA.

The 2019 Audi Q4 is expected to sport a liftback tailgate like the one we can find on the TT Off-Road concept. Up front, the Audi grille features horizontal slats with headlamps that are all LED. Its front bumper gets the same treatment as the one found on the Q8 concept.

The Audi Q4 probably receives a virtual instrument cluster along with a modern touchscreen infotainment system. The supposed infotainment unit features smartphone connectivity and state-of-the-art equipment. Apparently, its instrument cluster is identical to what the Ingolstadt-based automaker has to offer.

2019 Audi Q4 – Aggressive Front and Rear

The next-gen Audi Q4 comprises a profoundly curved roofline along with a liftback-style tailgate. It draws inspirations from the TT Off-Road concept and the restructured Q3 model. Also, it is conceived to highlight the more aggressive front and rear bumpers alongside typical sportier intentions. The revamped edition receives LED headlights as standard across the range.

Furthermore, the 2019 Audi Q4 stands on large alloy wheels that consist of swollen wheel arches. It will make its public debut alongside a pair of large exhaust tips and a black rear diffuser. In a nutshell, the revamped Audi model brings an impressive exterior styling that wows its enthusiasts.

When it comes to the inside of the 2019 Audi Q4, we are likely to find an array of developments. These advancements consist of full-HD instrument displays, inductive smartphone charging, and also gesture control functions. We also are likely to find a navigator monitor, a 9.2-inch touchscreen unit, and at least modern connectivity features.

Engine and Transmission

At this point, the information about the engine is still scarce. But based on the looks, the revamped 2019 Audi Q4 appears to resemble the production version of the Audi TT Off-Road Concept. However, it is unlikely to offer the concept’s hybrid powertrain that is associated with 408 horsepower.

Concerning the engine line-up, the chances are that the automaker offers a new 2.0-liter turbodiesel engine. There is also the likelihood of a 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine.

The 2019 Audi Q4 SUVs come with the front-wheel drive alongside a six-speed manual transmission as standard. On the contrary, mid-range cars will likely feature four-wheel drive in conjunction with a dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The automaker plans to develop high-performance versions of its compact SUVs.

Release Expectation and Price

The Audi’s crossover lineup is likely to expand in the next couple of months. The company has already announced the production dates for the Q8 flagship as well as the Q4 compact SUV. The Q8 is thought to enter its production next year at a manufacturing plant in Slovakia.

The 2019 Audi Q4 production is underway at a plant in Hungary. It likely goes on sale later around September 2019. There is no word about the price at this moment.
