Chance the Rapper and Kirsten Corley have come to an agreement on child support and custody of their daughter, Kensli Bennett. The celebrity father and his ex-girlfriend's lawyers spoke with media concerning the case that was settled in a Cook County court on Monday.

"This case ended quickly because of the unusually high level of cooperation between the parents putting their child's best interest first," said Enrico Mirabelli, attorney for Kirsten Corley. Chance the Rapper's attorney, Tanya Stanish, also commented on the case. "Overall, I'd say they did a good job and worked well together and came to a fair resolution for everyone," she said.

It was just a few weeks ago that Chance and Kirsten took to social media to blast a Chicago Sun-Times writer who took a jab at him for hammering out the details of childcare in court. "If this personal issue is handled callously in the public, Chance the Rapper's clean-cut image could take a big hit," the journalist suggested. "After all, you can't hand out money to benefit children you don't know and come off looking like you are being stingy when it comes to your own child."

Chance didn't attempt to explain himself after the story broke but rather took to Instagram with his family to give an inspirational word to his fans. "Just a friendly reminder: don’t let anybody get between you and your family," the celebrity father advised. "Don’t be afraid of what people are saying about you. Do your job and everything will be fine."

Kensli is Chance the Rapper and Kirsten Corley's only child.
