I am going to narrate full one to one so many linked stories and lesson learned. By Dale Carnegie.
Theodore Roosevelt's children adored him, and they have good reason too. An old friend came to Roosevelt one day in distress. His you son had left home and had gone to live with his aunt. The was wild. He was this and he was that. And father claimed that no one could get along with him.
Roosevelt said,"Nonsense, I don't believe there's is a thing wrong with the boy. But if a boy with spirit can't get right sort of treatment at home, he'll o some else place to get it."
Some days later Roosevelt saw the boy and said,"What's all this I hear about your leaving home?"
"Well Colonel" said the boy,"Everytime I go to dad and he explodes. He's never give me chance to tell mu story. I am always wrong. I am always to blame."
"You know, son,"said Roosevelt,"You may not believe it now, but your your father is your best friend. You are more to him than the rest of the world."
"That may be, Colonel Roosevelt," the boy said,"but I do wish he had take some other way of showing it."
Then Roosevelt sent for the father, and he began to tell the father some shocking truths. The father exploded as same as the boy described."See here,"said the Roosevelt," If talk to your boy the way as you talked to me. I don't wonder he left the home. I only marvel that he didn't do it before. Now you go and get acquainted with him. Meet him halfway."
