KANE WORLD FOOD STUDIO | RESTAURANT AND BAR

This is such a vibrant and exotic design, I just had to share it on my blog.
Kane World Food Studio is located in Bucharest, Romania, right in the centre of the city. The restaurant was designed by local architectBogdan Ciocodeicaand his team, and was very recently completed, becoming a rare escape.
It's solely a jungle in itself, with looming plants and numerous tones and textures from brass light fittings to teal glazed ceramic tiles. Chosen with great care, it's evident that every element shows off unique character but is still made to magically intertwine with everything else and create a vivid but relaxing ambience.
Featuring, not only the restaurant, but the outstretched, felted like, white marble bar with a fancy parallel mirror which adds depth to the overall interior, the space gives off a sense of tranquility for those who manage to embrace it. The mirror sitting directly behind the bar also provides a scope of the urban exterior as it is facing the entrance which is made up from grand windows.
The architect has chosen to expose the piping that runs across the length of the industrial ceiling and add rectangular light fittings that hang above dining tables, building layers and structure as well as preserving the buildings' existing structure.
Various seating spots are thoughtfully arranged around the open space, each with its own identity and using a selection of wood, leather, marble and metal. Opposing these softer materials are the more harsh supplies that create contrast throughout, such as the rustic concrete flooring, with its dressed up, patterned textile, coarse to the touch, rugs.
Green tones have been used continuously all around and what better match for them than the luxurious golden and yellow decor features? Reflective surfaces as such are used to bounce light throughout the space and give a warm distinction to the cooler shades of green.
The designer clearly felt the need to make the space emulate with its most distict purpose and that is of course the Food and the infulence it plays in its environment. This was done through the use of natural textures, seasonal displays and vegetation which all contribute to offering a refreshing and healthy atmosphere to the senses.
With that in mind, the cuisine itself actually follows the concept of the design scheme by serving tastes from all over the world.
This cosy little spot is functioning with the skill of bringing a perspective, not only to that of the immediate connection of the outdoor exposure but also to the synthesis of the varied cultures, making it truly idealistic.
