Second Book Review - The Fallen Star

Hey, guys. I'm back. It's been awhile. I've just been so busy and haven't had the time to write another Review. I've read so many books, I probably won't have to read a new one for a long time. But if I find a really good new Book, I'll be sure to give a review of it. Anyway, this book, The Fallen Star by Jessica Sorenson, is a fairly decent read. As the romance cliche goes, there's a new boy in town, Alex and he just happens to get paired up with Gemma during astronomy class. There is instant chemistry between them, although they both try to fight it. As the story progresses, you'll learn something special about Gemma and what she could mean to the world. But if she wants to follow her destiny, she will have to make the ultimate sacrifice. That doesn't really matter to her, though. She starts to fall for Alex, and he betrays her trust. Were his feelings for her real? Will they ever get back to where they were? Probably not, but you'll have to find out for yourself. This is not your atypical love story and because of that, I really enjoyed this book. I'm into the whole love-hate relationships.
The writing was fairly good. It seemed a little adolescent to me, though. The style of writing makes this book seem more of a middle school thing than anything else. Some things seem forced and a couple portions don't flow well at all. This is probably from a beginner writer. But, nonetheless, it was an interesting read. I give this book a 6 out of ten. Until next time.
