How To Escape Shortcodes And Square Brackets In WordPress

Well I thought this was a dud. Just put ’em in html entities! Didn’t work. And then I tried putting them in single quotes and code tags and nothing worked. And then I found this: https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/6518 Seems like I wasn’t the only one having this problem. Finally it was checked into WordPress code in changeset: https://core.trac.wordpress.org/changeset/10576 So how do you actually do that? Well, instead of single square bracket you’d use two square brackets like [[escaped]] But the issues is that problems don’t end just there.
