Become the Top Priority

It's so so easy to get caught up in deadlines, friendships, stress, and just life in general. Those things are all of course very important, but life is all about Balance. Finding balance is a long journey and takes time. It's easy to get overwhelmed with things you feel like you "have to get done", but remind yourself that you do not HAVE to do anything.
Look at everything in your life as a choice, and that can help change your perspective a little bit. When I am stressed about school and deadlines, I remind myself that I am Choosing to do this. I am choosing to be in school and I am choosing to feel stressed. If you know you are someone who gets easily overwhelmed like myself, acknowledge that and plan ahead. Get things done, but remember to maintain balance in your life. Make your health your top priority, always. If you have your mental and physical health in check, everything else in your life will become that much easier. Figure out what you want to get done and plan your week out in advance, but always be sure to tend to your health needs first.
