It's hard not to compare yourself and your life to everyone else's around you. You can have the best grades you've ever had, or the nicest car you've ever owned; but in your eyes there will still be someone else with better grades, Nicer Car, funnier, hotter, luckier, or smarter. The day you learn to live you life for you and you only is when life gets 10X more fulfilling and "better" than the person with the nicer car and better grades, because they are still left comparing themselves and their life to the next person. Having that drive and passion to make your life better or achieve goals without using comparison as the driving force is when you become at peace and content with your life. Knowing you want a nicer car but knowing it's not everything is the goal. Looking at your life without comparing any of it to the next guy is the goal.
