WhatsApp launches video calling feature

WhatsApp is still the best messaging Application so far even though it faced many competitors. With over a billion downloads over the Google Play Store, Whatsapp claims to be the biggest and the best messaging app so far, taken over by Facebook.

Even though it's a very popular application that's available for every platform, Whatsapp still lackes something. Something known as of a 'Video Call'. Now Video Calling may be available by many other apps but WhatsApp may just be a bit short of video calling feature.

There are many users who shifted to different applications to use the Video Calling feature but some people still are sticking to WhatsApp and do hope that it releases its video calling feature soon. But what if we told you that it's already out?

Believe us, WhatsApp has started the video calling feature in its application and it is live now. And the feature is going to be introduced today. All you've to do is update the app, open it, tap on a chat head, click the 'Call' icon and start a video call. And during your video call, you can easily switch the camera with front or the rear camera option available in the video call. You can also mute your call or hang up using the red button there.

Now as you know that WhatsApp has many rivals like Snapchat, Facebook Messenger, Google Allo that have a video calling option available too and it's worth watching about which one will stand on the top.

So you might be thinking so far, 'When will the update be available?' For that you just have to wait for a couple more days (or possibly more) because the update is landing on every country and will be available for all countries soon. If you're lucky, you might receive the update very soon. But assuring you, the update will be out soon.

There's still a chance that you can try this update but for that, you've to be a beta tester of the app. Don't worry! Neither will it harm your phone, nor your personal information.

Let's tell you what to do.

1) Firstly, open the Google Play Store and search for 'WhatsApp' in the search box.

2) In the search results, click on WhatsApp and scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on 'I am in' for the beta program.

3) In a few moments, you will see the option of 'Update' in the same page.

4) Download it and open it after downloading.

5) Now open anybody's chat whom you want to do a video call with and tap on call button and then select 'Video Call'.

6) Now you'll be able to place a video call easily.

However, you need to note that the other person needs to have the updated or the beta version of WhatsApp too to be able to do a video call.
