A portrait of the sun - The dawn

Tags: rise

The giant bell tolls
Shrouded as a whole
The night approaches man
Man has never had a plan

Lies inside our head
No one to lie to
We're all dead
All we say and we do
It all comes down to this moment
The giants rise and end their torment
The Earth shakes with my heartbeat
Down in the core, you'll feel my heat

Entitled political persuasion
A constant perpetuation
But there's nothing to perpetuate,
No one to persuade, and no one to hate
I've had enough; it seems I'm a little late
There is no good known to create
They may have not learned
But my people won't be burned

The beasts of the night are at war
They alone keep the score
Our land's raped no more
We must keep the score

The night will be leaving none
When the sun rises we'll all be one
Pile up my love, my blood, and my friend
Hold ground as we rise above the quickening end
