14 killed in Davao night market bombing, dozens injured (Video)

At least 14 people were Killed following an explosion at a night market in Davao City on September 2, 2016. The incident occurred at around 10:50 p.m. along Roxas Street.

Firetrucks, ambulances, and the Davao City police immediately went to the scene for rescue, retrieval and investigations.

As of  posting, the cause of the explosion is still vague, however an Inquirer.net report came out earlier that the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) claimed the responsibility for the devastating event.

Authorities are still authenticating and doing further investigations about the blast.

Meanwhile, President Rodrigo Duterte has declared "State of Lawlessness" in the whole Region of Davao following the said incident. Huge military and police presence around ground zero and its surroundings is expected due to the declaration. Duterte further stressed that State of Lawless Violence is not similar to Martial Law.
