Motorola Looks To Reach 500,000 Smartphones Sales In India Soon

Motorola, which has been making waves in the budget and affordable smartphone markets all over the world, has recently announced that the company is looking to reach smartphones sales of 500,000 in India. The company, which restarted its operations in the country back in February, has already launched three devices in India, including the Moto X, Moto G and the newly launched Moto E.

In the press event organised for the launch of the Moto E, Motorola reiterated that they have seen strong sales with the Moto G and Moto X, especially the Moto G. This was even confirmed by executives for Flipkart, which is the exclusive retail partner for Motorola.

In a report published by AndroidOS, Amit Boni, general manager, Motorola Mobility, said, “We have seen tremendous response for Moto G and Moto X and we are confident of crossing the half million units sales mark in the next few days. Moto E, our latest launch, will further fuel the growth that we have seen in Indian market.”

The Moto E was launched yesterday and has already been sold out on Flipkart. The same happened with the Moto G after it was launched. The online retailer is currently taking reservations for the device with new stocks expected soon and delivery to the customer in seven to ten days.
