How To Live A Simple Life Of Luxury (Without The Price Tag)

I’d like to say I lead a luxurious lifestyle: my wardrobe is filled with designer clothes, handbags and shoes; my skin looks like I indulge in weekly Carita facials; I frequently visit a hair salon; I eat mouthwatering organic meals prepared with only the finest quality ingredients; and as I write this I’m sitting at a beachfront café on a Greek Island.

So what’s my secret? It’s simple, I live by one rule: less is more. Living a Simple Life of luxury is easy once you know how, and can be applied to all aspects of your life, including fashion, beauty, food, body and mind.

Here are some tips on how I do it:

1. Build a staple handbag collection

I’m a firm believer that when you buy cheap you really buy expensive because you have to keep replacing your items, so I’ve invested in a luxury Staple Handbag Collection consisting of just four designer handbags and two designer evening bags (a total of six). By alternating bags every season I always feel like I am getting a new bag at the beginning of each season. Overall, you will spend less of your hard earned cash because your luxury handbags will last you a lifetime.

2. Make your own natural skin care products

You will be amazed to find the luxurious range of Beauty Products in your kitchen that will benefit your skin more than the chemically infused products you pay top dollar for. In fact, haven’t you noticed that the key ingredients in most high-end skincare products are actually nature based?

3. Workout from home

Working out from home is an easy and cost effective way to get fit. Why spend money on a gym membership when you can workout in the comfort and privacy of your own home for free. Here are some of my best at home workouts:

• Skipping is a great form of cardio that can be done anywhere and burns three times more calories than running.

• The plank is one of my favorite exercises for achieving a flat, toned stomach because it works all the muscles in your core. Planks are more effective than sit-ups and crunches because they recruit muscles in the legs, arms, and your butt too. The plank truly is the ultimate total-body toner!

• You can even practice Yoga and Pilates at home, just download an app to your smart phone.

4. Eat Clean

Juicing is a really great way to give your body the essential minerals and vitamins it needs, my favorite juice recipe is:

2 cucumbers
1/4 lemon, skin cut off
1 pear
1 handful fresh mint
1 heaping cup spinach
1 teaspoon coconut oil

Run all ingredients through a blender. Serve with fresh lemon or an extra sprig of mint for garnish! Serves 2.
