When I first started listening to the Music Video “Hot Pursuit” by Trel Mack, I immediately enjoyed the beat of the Song.

His song reminds me of songs by Drake or J. Cole. I noticed that it was exactly the type of rap that I like listening to in my spare time, just like Kendrick Lamar and Eminem. Trel’s flow was extremely smooth and his Lyrics were phenomenal. As a listener, I really related to most of his lyrics and felt great vibes from the song as a whole. “People say I fall in love too much, that’s the reason why I don’t be in the club too much,” and “I do what’s best for y’all instead of me, me make you a better you and not a better me,” are two of my favorites out of them all. I can truly relate those lyrics talking about life’s struggles and hardships. The Music video was really well put together as well, it gave off a very relaxed and laid back energy which was perfect for the song and the beats behind it. The music video was also great!

The theme of Trel working out and running really connects with the meaning of the song of ‘keep on running’ and ‘work harder don’t give up’ attitude. Without a doubt, this song could go very far, I could definitely hear it on major radio stations one day.
