In April, one of the most thoughtful and fun films hit the screens, Swara Bhaskar starrer Nil Battey Sannata. It was an emotional story about a mother who struggles to get her daughter educated. The film was simultaneously remade in Tamil as Amma Kanakku. It stars Amala Paul and its trailer just came out.

It is a story of Amala Paul, who is a poor woman living in the slum part of the city. She has a young daughter who is about to enter class 10. It is her ultimate dream to get her daughter well educated and make her a doctor, engineer or whatever her daughter likes. But surprisingly, her daughter wants to be a maid like her.

Also she is really bad at Math and fails miserably. In the end, it is all about how Amala gets her through and makes her pass the 10 grade. However, the story has been broadly explained but the exact plot is not clear. We see Revathy and Amala sitting on a beach where Amala is asked if she would like to study again. And then we get a shock of our lives as we see the mother in a school uniform go to the same school as her daugher! On the whole it is based on the topic of women education and empowerment which has been dealt with in a light, breezy way.

Amala Paul is really Super Impressive a Lower Class Mother who is struggling to raise her daughter. Dhanush, who is producing the film, wasn’t exaggerating when he said Amala will get a National Award for this role. The mother daughter dynamic has been perfectly established in the trailer. On the whole, a super impressive trailer that has got us all intrigued to watch the actual film.
