Mermaids do Exist

Come out of the fancy thoughts of pretty mermaids those were infiltrated into our minds by the age old movies. These are the pictures of a mermaid found dead on the shores of an island after the disastrous tsunami.

Don't forget to notice its horny teeth, hollowed nose and finny legs.

The word is a compound of mere, the Old English word for "sea", and maid, a woman. The male equivalent is a merman. The first known mermaid stories appeared in Assyria (a kingdom in ancient Iraq), 1000 BC

Claimed sightings of dead or living mermaids have come from places as diverse as Java and British Columbia. There are two Canadian reports from the area of Vancouver and Victoria, one from sometime between 1870 and 1890, the other from 1967.
