It’s our choice, really.  To live in a world full of love and compassion, or to live in a world full of bitterness and pain.  Do we love our neighbors, do we love each other for who we are, or do we scowl and complain at every opportunity?  A world full of love.  A world full of pain.  It’s the same world.  Two entirely different outcomes.  At this time of the year, it’s more important than ever to spend a moment or two thinking about our fellow man.  Thinking about how we treat those around us.  It’s no wonder Robert Indiana chose those four simple letters when he created his sculpture.  Such a small word that can make such a huge impact on our lives.  Mr. Indiana made sure that we could not just wander by and miss his statement.  It’s right there, bold and big, yet so uncomplicated.  If you find the Daydream Nest that I left there in New York City, I hope it reminds you to think about those four little letters for a moment or two.  I hope you choose to love.  Choose to love yourself, love your friends, love your family, heck, love the man selling the paper on the corner.   I hope that little nest inspires you to spend a moment dreaming.  Dreaming about a world filled with hopes, filled with dreams, filled with love.
