Holiday season...

Christmas has definitely snuck up on me this year.  A lot of things have happened, with losing a job (along with health insurance) and having to apply for state health insurance.  I was approved but only plan on using it until my husband's 90 days are up at work and he can get insurance.   I am debating having him get dependent care savings.  Mainly because I have been Researching day care and it is looking be around $200 per child, per week.  There are a few people who have offered to babysit for us, so I'm going to talk with them more the weigh the options.  A lot of people have told me it would be cheaper and easier to stay at home but my Husband and I need to work.  Plus, my student loans won't pay for themselves and I would like to use my MBA (almost done) for something.

As for the holidays, since we are on a budget the Christmas gifts are slim.  Slim meaning there is nothing under the tree.  I splurge and got my husband one gift but it's going to be a Christmas/birthday gift, since his birthday falls near the end of December.

In twin news, my doctor is hoping I can hold out (or they can stay in) for 38 weeks.  That would put them at a delivery date of January 19ish.  I am currently debating if I will be putting their pictures on facebook.  I can easily share them with my family and close friends.  Facebook would make it more convenient but I feel like it's some sort of invasion, plus I noticed some of my family members have a tendency to take pictures of other people's kids and post them on their page.  My husband doesn't not have the same worries but it's probably because he doesn't know most of my family too well....there are some crazy ones in there.

Although I am currently unemployed I have been researching traveling with children, mostly flying with infants.  I am still hoping to do a Seattle/Vancouver trip next year.  My husband and I have discussed a international trip in the next year or two (it will have to be before the twins are to big to travel in our laps).  I would love to go back to London/England but I also would love to see Turkey, plus his parents would be able to go to Turkey.  I'm researching now to see which one would be more "family friendly", so far I've read a lot about London.  I am realizing the kids only mean I have to come up with another approach to traveling and it will take more budgeting and planning but it does not mean I have to give up my love of travel.
