Prop 64 or Auma, is the decision to legalize recreational cannabis in California with many exceptions and loopholes already in the writing. It is one of the biggest decisions on marijuana or any “drug” in general in this country.Its every pot heads dream right? The weed has been freed maaan right on. Contrary to belief, this isn’t the average view of the proposition of most pot smokers in California. I tried to look deeper to see what the real goal was behind this Auma and what it was really all about. After seeing all tho pros and cons of Auma i can see that the aim is to ensure no individual is profiting off weed unless legally allowed to do so. It allows for profit taking and changes the licensing pricing requirements to steep for most growers to afford. It puts the profit taking power in the hands of larger more well funded corporations. There is already talk of tobacco companies gearing up for the legalization. Auma outs huge fines on anyone growing past the legal limit or carrying anything over the maximum limit of bud or concentrate which is considered a very small amount to most avid smokers. New felonies are also created with Auma as well as making juveniles criminals for possession of flower or concentrate or for growing any plants even allowing jail time for a gram of weed. So to put it this way, vote no on prop 64 in CA if you don’t believe in large corporations taking over a brand new industry that is just getting started and if you want to wait for a marijuana law that actually protects your rights to carry and grow and distribute peacefully. I know some people may think people who want more are asking for too much, but if cannabis is no longer considered criminal with Auma, how can they decide how much of what is healthy without testing? There are to many questions to be answered, and one thing i have learned through cannabis is patience….
