I have a new client in Rhumbix, an architecture engineering and construction tech tool. The software firm provides time-keeping, analytics and more for AEC firms that want to save on workflows and maximize employee performance. This company caught my eye more than two years ago and I kept in touch with them because I wanted to work for them some day.
Rhumbix is a startup in San Francisco, about 50 employees strong now. Part of what makes the company unique is that it was begun by a couple guys in the military, who came up with the idea for their tool while serving in the military... Ever since I learned of Rhumbix, my gut told me their approach made a lot of horse-sense and was bound to win the long race. Why? Because a sound argument is irrefutable, and their argument was strong and their tech, vigorous. I wanted in.
Besides, in a skilled writer's hands, good products and services practically sell themselves. After all these years of writing for pay, I know that, too. And when you find an obvious winner, as a freelance writer, you want to hook up with them. So I pursued Rhumbix for a long time, staying in touch periodically for years in the hope that they would give me a shot some day. Recently, they did.
And so it's fun to say I have some bylines with Rhumbix. I've been writing Web stories for them for several weeks now on AEC tech. Here are titles to some of those pieces (with links):
