RL Polo doesn't even contain treemoss (let alone oakmoss) anymore

That's right, the big 80s moss bomb is now devoid of any and all real moss extracts. The change seems to have taken place sometime in 2017. Even the much-maligned Luxury Products formula of the last decade and a half at least had some Treemoss, and I found it at least serviceable. Have you smelled the stuff they're selling as Polo today? I got lucky because an Ulta store just opened near me and all the testers were brand new (I primed the pumps on at least 10 of them, so satisfying!) and man, the whole base of Polo is just gone; it's all vague green notes and jasmine floating over nothing. I saw them do this to Z14 and Pierre Cardin - oakmoss gets replaced by treemoss gets replaced by synthetics - but I never thought they'd do it to Polo. I wish RL would just put this fragrance out of its misery but it still sells like hotcakes just the way it is (name one other 70s / early 80s masculine can you test in an Ulta store!)
