5 Ways to Trick Your Body into Drinking More Water

Water energizes your muscles, improves your brain function, protects your skin and aids in digestion.

You may already know that Drinking 64 oz of water a day is recommended for optimal health, but getting that much down in a day can be difficult.

Here are five ways to Trick your body into drinking more water.

Start and End Your Day With Water

Try drinking a glass of water as soon as you get up in the morning.

Your morning water does not have to be boring. If you would rather start your day with something hot, try drinking your water hot with lemon.

You could even start the day with herbal tea.

End your day with a glass of water before turning in for the night to replenish some of the fluids lost during the day.

Drink Water after Every Bathroom Break

Yes, seriously. Remembering to get water in every time you let water out is a great way to stay hydrated.

If you are passing by a water cooler on your way back to your desk, take a second to fill your water Bottle, and be sure to drink it.

The ounces you sip on while working add up.

Try a Water App

Many free downloadable apps will help you track your water intake.

Some apps will even signal an alarm to remind you.

If you want to get even more high-tech, you could invest in a smart bottle to track your daily water intake for you.

Flavor Your Water

Try infusing your water with natural flavors.

Try something creative like cucumber, raspberry lime or grapefruit. Simply add slices of cucumber, fruit or a few berries directly to your water.

If you are trying to eat less or control your appetite, you could even add a few drops of one of the doterra products, like Slim and Sassy, to boost your hydration levels while supporting your metabolism.

Carry Your Own

If you keep a water bottle with you during the day, you will be more likely to drink.

Keeping your bottle filled may even deter you from hitting the vending machines for a sugary beverage, saving you calories and money in the process.

Drinking more water during the day will increase your energy levels by removing toxins from your digestive tract and even reduce under-eye puffiness.

Once you develop a habit of drinking more water, you will notice the difference.

Cheers!
