Making Drone Music with Walkman’s

Randall Taylor aka Amulets nutzt alte Walkman’s und Tape-Decks in Kombination mit live eingespielten Gitarren Loops und ‘field recordings’ um damit in fantastische Sound-Landschaften aus ‘drone’, ‘noise’ und ‘ambient’ einzutauchen.

Was er da aus einem Haufen mutmaßliche veralteter Technik herausholt ist wirklich beeindruckend. Das ganze entfaltet sich aber noch mehr wenn man Taylor, wie in seinen Clip dazu an den Reglern der Gerätschaften sieht und der Erschaffung der Töne live zusehen kann. Heir ein paar Beispiele:
