Previous President Jerry John Rawlings has said permitting U.S. troop to station in Ghana would go over the edge.

Tweeting on another guard assention amongst Ghana and the U.S. which, in the Minority’s view, gives the American military liberated access to Ghanaian army bases, Mr Rawlings stated: “Ghanaians may love Americans however not to the degree of living with remote troops on such a scale”.

Mr Nitiwul has, in any case, denied the U.S. will construct an army installation in Ghana.
