The biography of the Gurus of Sikh religion has been written in this book and also mentioned the history up to date when Sikh gave Punjab to British people. Bhayi Bala Janam Sakhi had mentioned the important parts of Guru Nanak Ji’ life and about this Gurudwara in this book.

According to legend – History of Gurudwara Sahib Manikarna Himachal Pradesh is very old. It is said that once Lord  Mahadev and Mata Parvati were reached on this place while traveling around the world. Seeing this place full of natural beauty, Lord Shiva and Mata Parvati stayed here for some time. They have been here for eleven thousand years in the state of penance and residence. One day, Mata Parvati lost her ear jewelry in any reservoir here. After this, requesting by Mata Parvati, Lord Shiva asked his respective Ganes to find Mata’s earring gem but nobody can find the gem of Mata’s ear jewelry.

Lord Shiva was angry at this and he opened his third eye. Naina Mata appeared due to the opening of the third eye of Bholenath, which is why Manikarna is also considered as the birthplace of the Mata Rani. In the entire universe, there was a stroke, all goddess became frightened. This earing was taken by the god Sheshnag and with it disappeared in the earth. God Sheshnag refused to surrender to Goddess Parvati’s jewelry. The god requested Shiva that when Shiva performs the cosmic dance, Tandava, the jewel will be returned to him. Similarly, after performing the orgy, The Pataladhikari, Sheshnag Ji, shook the loudness, the stream of boiling hot water broke out. In this stream of water, Mata Parvati’s ear jewelry was also found along with important Stones and other Manya. the deity made the jeweler submissive from the inside of the water and surrendered to Shiva and the anger of Lord Shiva also became calm. Similarly, the practice of demanding anything by putting ornaments in the water of Manikaran is popular.

After this incident, the name was called Manikarna. It is said that this place was so sweet to Lord Shiva that the name of a ghat on the banks of river Ganga in Kashi was named Manikarnika Ghat. Due to Mahadev, directly because of an unknown supernatural power, the fountain of boiling water (86 ° C – 96 ° C temperature) in place of Shri Manikaran attracts all the visitors. Bhayi bala and mardana are also along with him. When he arrived here, the brother Mardana was hungry, he said to the guru that I have a flour but there is no pot and there is no means of fire. When Guruji heard this, he asked Maradana to take a stone. When Maradana raised stones, the waterfall of boiled water appeared from that place.

Guru Ji asked Mardana to make roti and put it in water when Mardana made roti and put it in that boiled water, it drowned in water. Seeing all this, the mardana became sad and said I had only a little grain and that too went like this. Guruji said – Mardana! This one bread will give to God as ardas.
