Hey there fellow nerds and geeks!

Aaron Nabus here and on this episode of the Hall H Show, we reconnect with one of my favorite comic book creators – well just one of my favorite creatives period, Stephan Franck, at WonderCon 2018.

He’s always willing to make time for his fans and his interviews are always fun and informative. So I appreciate him taking the time to talk with me, especially at a busy con like WonderCon.

On this episode, we discuss his love for the noir genre, which is a huge influence on his graphic novel series, Silver.

We also touch on The Iron Giant panel that he did at WonderCon…especially the technical challenges of melding CG and traditional animation in the 90’s.

Speaking of melding, I think one reason why his Silver comic book has been so well received, is that he has been able to meld film language into it. People are used to watching movies so when you take movie storytelling approaches and apply them to sequential art, it’s so much easier to understand.

Volume 4 of Silver, the last installment of a group of con men and a descendant of Van Helsing trying to steal treasure from a castle full of vampires, has a Kickstarter campaign going on until June 28, 2018.
