Igor’s Halloween Party – A Mix for You!

The days are getting shorter, the leaves are falling, the pumpkins are ready for harvest, and…wait…what was that? Did you hear that sound? It came from over by that old cemetery…it can only mean one thing: Halloween is coming! And that means I’ve been spinning spooky tunes for about a month now! And I think it’s time to share.

I compile a Christmas mix every year, but this is my first shot at a Halloween-themed compilation. Seeing as I don’t really envision doing one every year (I could be wrong), I threw everything I had at this one. Pretty much all of my favorite Halloween tunes, ever. There’s a little bit of everything….oldies, soundtrack, surf, novelties, movie trailers, goth, jazz, new wave, Bert Convy….whatever. Like Christmas music, there are stratified layers of music from decades past, much of it undiscovered until the magic of the internet allowed it to be uncovered and shared around. The 50’s and 60’s, in particular, were rich in Halloween-based songs, most of which never saw any popularity. The big exception: ‘Monster Mash’ by Bobby ‘Boris’ Pickett. Yeah, it’s in here somewhere, too.

Suitable for all ages, I hope you enjoy it. Track listing will show when you click Play on the Mixcloud Player below. BOO!!!!

Bonus!! Here’s a super-huge Spotify playlist with many of the same tracks and many, many more!
