Some say that Trump's behavior is leading to the fall of America and its democracy. Some say the fall of America began when the Bush Administration did 9/11. I, however, think it began with World War 2 when the President allowed Japan to attack our military base in Hawaii (Pearl Harbor) to get the Nation into war and then sealed our fate by bombing cities rather than plains to end the war (the Prez allowed our people to die and then covered it up with the "National Security Act of 1947", thus setting the stage for 9/11). In any case, America has definitely reached the "decay" stage of the fall of civilizations and it's just a matter of time before this little experiment in democracy is over. Returning to a better situation would involved bringing out the truth of 9/11 & Iraq war media coverups, with a full accounting and dismemberment of corporate media... also, America has become a nation of wusses and cowards, probably because of an education system which teaches obedience (except for Fox News & the GOP who are brave but hardcore traitors who shouldn't be called American at all). So, currently, America has nobody at the top to lead it to safety and haven't had such a person in decades. Trump is simply the culmination of cowards leading the country nowhere and giving our local Nazi cult a platform to speak while not saying stuff that would destroy them, i.e. simply another form of treason but based out of inaction and cowardice rather than ill will towards the country and Constitution like the Trump Administration.
Facts in the Trump Administration simply means lies. The GOP & Fox News are OK with this because they only seek to promote dictators (which is why nothing is an issue under an authoritarian for them) and act like sheep to make money. But the moral part of the country worthy of calling themselves Americans are getting fed up with this. Here are some of the alternative facts being peddled by the Trump Administration right now. As Donald Trump’s cabinet took shape, a pattern started to emerge: many of the people the Republican president chose people to lead agencies fundamentally opposed the purpose of those agencies. Betsy DeVos is a Secretary of Education who opposes public schools; Rick Perry is the Secretary of Energy who’s called for the elimination of the Department of Energy; Scott Pruitt leads an Environmental Protection Agency he’s fought to undermine for years; and so on. But what’s less appreciated is the degree to which this problem extends beyond the high-profile cabinet posts, and reaches some important offices with lower profiles. The Washington Post reported yesterday, for example: President Trump has appointed Daniel Simmons, a conservative scholar who sharply questioned the value of promoting renewable energy sources and curbs on greenhouse gas emissions, to oversee the Energy Department’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE), according to an email distributed to department employees. […] Though no official announcement has been made, the acting head of the office, Steve Chalk, sent an email to DOE employees Monday saying that Simmons, a member of the Trump transition team, will become the principal deputy assistant secretary for EERE. Just so we’re clear, the purpose of the Department of Energy’s Office of Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy (EERE) is to “create and sustain American leadership in the transition to a global clean-energy economy.” Donald Trump has chosen someone to lead this office who’s argued that no such transition should take place. The New Republic added that the EERE office “has historically included investments in renewable energy technologies like solar, wind, and geothermal, as well as electric vehicles and building efficiency.” Trump’s choice has argued against these investments. The Post’s report noted that Simmons has been “direct about his disdain for federal subsidies for renewable energy.” And so the White House wants him to lead the federal office on renewable energy. While federal officials should be prioritizing renewable-energy investments, the Trump administration is embracing a regressive approach. This is apparently how things work in the Trump era.
