2017 didn’t have a great start, especially for the television couples. You wanna know why? The reason is breakups! First Roadies star Raghu Ram and Sugandha Garg got divorced, which happened after 10 years of married life, followed by Bigg Boss star Mandana Karimi’s separation with husband Gaurav Gupta due to domestic violence and then Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii Couple Rinku Dhawan and Kiran Karmarkar too called it quits after 15 years of marriage. Celebrity breakups are making headlines from the beginning of this year and now with reaching the year’s end, we have a huge list to share with you. Raghu Ram and Sugandha Garg’s separation:

The first heartbreaking separation of 2017 was of that Roadies star Raghu Ram and wife Sugandha Garg’s. They called it quits after a marriage of 10 years. They parted in a cordial way and mentioned to be friends forever. Raghu said in an interview to a leading portal, “Our relationship has changed over time. Today, we might not be a couple, but we are still the best of friends.” He further added, “The disconnect was bound to happen. The important thing is that we started off as friends, and we realised that if our relationship isn’t working, then it is best to stay friends. We have prioritised our friendship over everything else. I am happy about that, and so is she. The time we spent apart was too much, and the time we spent together wasn’t enough to sustain our connection. It’s better to be in each other’s lives as friends instead.” Sources also revealed that they wanted to throw a divorce party after they wrapped up their court proceedings. But one thing is sure, it was mature and a thoughtful decision on behalf of the couple.

Vivian Dsena and Vahbiz Dorabjee’s split:

The couple met first on the sets of a television show Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani and gradually love blossomed between them. After three years of dating, the duo tied the knot on January 7, 2013. In 2016, three years after the marriage, speculations began that Vivian and Vahbiz have started living separately due to compatibility issues and were giving space to their relationship. It was in 2017 that Vahbiz declared that a reconciliation was impossible and that their split was final. As they always came across as a perfect couple the breakup news was tough to digest.

Juhi Parmar and Sachin Shroff’s divorce:

Juhi and Sachin tied their knot in 2009. They have a four-year-old young daughter named Samaira. The couple who participated in Nach Baliye and Pati Patni Aur Woh is apparently living separately for a year now. The couple had a fairytale wedding but things soon crumbled and reports of problems arose in 2011. The couple has finally filed for a divorce.

Kiran Karmarkar and Rinku Dhawan split:

The separation of Kiran and Rinku was certainly one of the most shocking splits of the year. The couple drew close while playing siblings in Star Plus’ mega show Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii. They finally got married in 2002 and now after 15 long years, they have decided to separate. They have a teenage son. A source said a leading daily about the couple’s separation,”Both Kiran and Rinku are mature, creative people. After being together for 15 years, they have decided to separate because of unresolved differences — they believe it is better than living in constant acrimony. The decision is amicable and their priority is their teenager son.”

Bobby Darling and Ramneek Sharma separation:

Bobby Darling who has been a former Bigg Boss Contestant declared divorce from husband Ramneek Sharma. Bobby has been always vocal about her relationship with Ramneek and also mentioned that she went for sex reassignment surgery on her husband’s request. Bobby faced domestic violence and was forced into unnatural sex. She filed a complaint that Ramneek took all her property and left her with nothing. The couple got married through a registry wedding and had a honeymoon at Singapore. She had shifted to her husband’s hometown after marriage.

Mandana Karimi and Gaurav Gupta divorce:

Former Bigg Boss contestant Mandana tied the knot with Gaurav Gupta in 2017 after dating for two years. Troubles started soon after her marriage and Mandana decided to walk out of it. She slapped a domestic violence case against Gaurav. In an interview with a leading daily, Mandana said, “The profession was incompatible with his family’s status in the society. I was thrown out of my matrimonial house seven weeks ago. I made desperate attempts to reconcile with them, but my in-laws didn’t allow me back. Gaurav has cut me off.”

Aditi Rathore and Shreedhan Singh breakup:

After a six-year-long relationship, Aditi Rathore, who is playing the lead in Naamkarann decided to breakup with boyfriend Shreedhan Singh. They declared their split over social media.

Sangeita Chauhan and Chirag Shah split:

Sangeita and Chirag kept their marriage under wraps for a long time but finally, Sangeita wanted a divorce. Her decisionleft Chirag distraught and he went missing for 4 days. Finally, he returned and they got separated. A close source to the couple informed a leading daily, “Sangeita has been wanting to separate from Chirag. She recently told him that she wants to move on and that’s what upset him and he left the city. When he couldn’t be traced, his family filed a missing complaint. Fortunately, after four days, Chirag returned. They have been staying separately since.” They were married for eight years.

Avinash Sachdev and Shalmalee Desai divorce:

The couple got hitched in 2015. They called it quits this year due to some compatibility issues. They had met and fallen for each other on the sets of Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?… Ek Baar Phir. A close source revealed the reason for the divorce. The source said to a leading daily, “A few days back, Suyyash Rai held a gig at a suburban hotel called Bombay Adda. Quite a few celebs attended the event including Avinash. When friends asked him about Shalmalee who was missing from the do, he said that she was unwell. A celeb friend of Shalmalee called her up to enquire about her well-being, she said that everything was not hunky dory between the couple. She also made some revelations about him that shocked the friend. Apparently, when Avinash found out that she had spoken about him, they had an argument, which turned rather heated. Post that, Shalmalee decided to file for divorce.”

Piyush Sahdev and Akangsha Rawat divorce:

Piyush and Akanghsha got married in 2012 after having a live-in relationship for 2 years. The couple had some issues and rumours floated that Akangsha filed a domestic violence case against Piyush. Post that, Piyush who came a comeback after a while got a role in Beyhadh and earned appreciation. Now, he is in judicial custody for the alleged rape of a 23-year-old fashion designer with whom he was living for a while. Akangsha has decided to stay mum about this issue.

Priyank Sharma and Divya Agarwal split:

Priyank and Divya were the most talked about couple of Splitsvilla X who fell in love during the show. They were going strong until Divya called it quits due to Priyanka’s close proximity with Bigg Boss contestant Benafsha Soonawalla.

Ridhima Pandit and Eshaan Roshan breakup:

TV show Bahu Hamari Rajni_Kant’s actress Ridhima Pandit, who has reportedly ended her decade long relationship with Hrithik Roshan’s cousin, Eshaan Roshan. A  source revealed to a leading web portal, “Ridhima and Eshaan first met when they were 14 and started dating four years later. However, after being together for 10 years, their relationship has now gone kaput. What’s endearing is that they continue to be friends. Many people might think that the couple parted ways, owing to Ridhima’s busy schedule, but that’s not true, as Eshaan had always been supportive of her career. Nobody is responsible for the break-up; it’s just that they have outgrown each other. For now, they are focussing on their careers.” Though as always Ridhima decided to stay silent about her personal life and said, “I have never spoken about my personal life and that’s not going to change even now. All I can say is, Eshaan is still very much a part of my life; he is a dear friend.”
