Arjun Bijlani is all set to make a comeback with a thriller on Colors, titled Ishq Mein Mar Jawan. The show will have Aalisha Panwar as the main lead. Colors CEO Raj Nayak shared the first teaser on his twitter account. It shows Aalisha dressed as a bride and handcuffed all set to avenge her tormentor.

The show is a thriller slash revenge story loosely based on Sridevi starrer Chaalbaaz. The show will have Aalisha Panwar play the double role of twin sisters. Arjun Bijlani plays the main lead in the show. Though there will be entry of another hero in their show and it’s rumoured to be Rajiv Khandelwal, but that’s still to be locked. Others in the cast include Arjun Aneja, Mihir Mishra and Tuhinaa Vora in important roles. They will be playing the roles of Arjun Bijlani’s family in the show.

Arjun Bijlani and Aalisha Panwar are all set to leave for an outdoor shoot in Manali next week. It will be a 15 day outdoor shoot where many interesting scenes will be filmed with the lead pair. Then the unit will come back and shoot in Mumbai for the remaining portions.

This would be Arjun’s back to back show after Pardes Mein Hai Dil and Naagin. Arjun’s son Ayan has been lucky for him and since his son’s birth he has been getting back to back work. Before that there was a big lull in his career after Miley Jab Hum Tum. Things and luck changed for Arjun when he got married to Neha Swami.

Mumbai based Arjun made his debut with Sab TV’s youth show Left Right Left that also starred Harshad Chopra, Vikas Manaktala and Rajiv Khandelwal. So if Rajiv Khandelwal plays the other hero it would be reunion of Arjun with his first show co star. Arjun later got fame when he did Miley Jab Hum Tum with Sanaya Irani and Rati Pandey. Later he did many insignificant shows but got his share of fame with Naagin. After season 1 wrapped up, Arjun was signed up to play the main lead in Ekta Kapoor’s Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil with Drashti Dhami. The show went off air this year. Arjun recently also hosted the IIFA awards green carpet as well. Arjun made his Bollywood debut with a flop film Direct Ishq, last year, and also participated in a season of Jhalak Dikhla Jaa.

Newcomer Aalisha Panwar gets her big break as the main lead with this show. This Shimla based girl made her debut with a side role Begusarai on & TV. Later on did shows like Jamai Raja and Thapki Pyaar Ki but none of those roles were prominent enough to get her noticed.

Aalisha was recently embroiled in a controversy with Star Plus show Meri Durga. Producer Ravindra Gautam had accused Aalisha of being unprofessional. She was almost selected to play the grownup Durga in Star Plus Durga when she gave up the role to do this Colors show. Since it’s a double role that has ample shades for an actress to perform Alisha has pinned her hopes. She also is lucky that Ishq Mein Marjawan will be shot in her state Himachal Pradesh.

Ishq Mein Mar Jawan has been produced by Yash Patnaik and Mamta Patnaik, under Beyond Dreams Entertainment. Yes the makers of shows like Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi Sadda Haq and Veer Ki Ardaas Veera will now be making this show. The show will take the evening slot on colors around Diwali.
