Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai starts with Keerti (Mohena Singh) crying that she is responsible for the troubles between Naira (Shivangi Joshi) and Kartik (Mohsin Khan). Manish (Sachin Tyagi) asks Aditya why is he so lost. He says I am worried about our merger. Daadi says I will not let Naira ruin Manish’s dream. KaiRa come for dinner. Naksh (Rishi Dev) tells Gayu (Kanchi Singh) that Naira is surely speaking the truth. He says I feel there are problems in Keerti’s marriage. The elders explain the importance of the special bhojan to the couple. The two look angry.

Akhilesh tells them to feed each other. Kartik and Naira do not take the first step. Naksh encourages them to forget everything and do the ritual. They feed kachoris to each other. The Singhanias tell Naira to eat peacefully but Swarna (Parul Chauhan) says we have to leave fast. She says it is as per Daadi’s mahurat. Naira asks for Naitik (Vishal Singh). He is nowhere in sight. Naitik is sitting quietly on a bench seeing Naira’s pictures and crying. Everyone wonders where is he? Naira gets worried hearing this. Naksh says I don’t know, I will call him. Gayu says he is not answering calls. A photo comes flying into her lap. Naira rushes upstairs and sees him sitting with her snaps.

She says papa with tears in her eyes. Naira gets angry and says why are you crying alone? She says I am leaving everything and going away but it is you who are crying. Naira says if you loved me, you would sit with me rather than leave me alone. She weeps bitterly. Naitik says I am unable to control my emotions. He says I am selfish, every father is. Rajshri says let us make arrangements for the bidaai. Kartik asks should I ask Daadi to postpone the time. They say no, let us stick to Daadi’s decision. Kartik says I am leaving Naira with you all now. He says I will wait outside with Chacha. He keeps his hand on Naksh’s shoulders.

Manish asks Daadi why did she hurry up the bidaai. Daadi says it is better we finish this fast. She says there is a lot of work at home. Outside, Kartik asks Keerti if what Naira said is actually true. She tells him that everything is fine. Keerti (Mohena Singh) says it is not nice that you two are so unhappy. Kartik says I saw Naira so unhappy and want to make her happy. Keerti says you will keep each other very happy.
