Avengers is about to be dethroned as the Comic Book King by the likes of Black Panther. The hype for the African-themed superhero movie may have lessened but six weeks in and it's still made a solid $4 million on Friday carrying it's domestic gross to $618 million.

And, with all things being equal the film is expected to have made a cool $16 million for the weekend which will in no doubt surpass Avengers record of $623 million. This will make Black Panther the highest grossing Comic Book movie ever and placing it in the number five spot in the highest grossing film with Jurassic World, Titanic, Avatar and Star Wars: The Force Awakens in front of it.
