The Band known under the name of K-Paz de la Sierra has become internationally famous mainly because of their ability to combine traditional Mexican dance music with a great number of innovative compositions and modern productions. The Album they released in 2004, entitled Pensando en ti (in English “thinking of you”) includes a total number of 12 original tunes, all standing out by the impressive instrumentals and the strong vocals. In addition to this, the drums are thunderous and the fabric of the music contributes to the incredible atmosphere by creating a strong and energetic effect.

The first thing that is really remarkable about this album is the use of the accordion that has been adapted to some modern tunes, creating something unique and totally original. “La Daga” is a song that does not match the others in terms of style and pattern, being rather similar to the old waltz times. The predominant instrument used for this tune is undoubtedly the accordion, which leads the way, being harmonized by the gentle voices. All in all, Pensando en ti is an album worth buying, especially if you are a fan of this music genre.
