Purpose of STAT730 Assignment 2: The purpose of the assignment is to learn how to enter data in Spss. A research has been conducted on the topic of how ‘demographic factors’ can affect ‘child happiness’. After data collection with the help of a questionnaire, data is compiled in following format. Following demographic variables and questionnaire items are observed.
Variables Gender: (1) Male (2) Female Citizenship: (1) Local (2) Foreigner Age: (1)Yong 18-30 (2) Mature 31 – 50 (3) Old > 50 Religion: (1) Islam (2) Christianity (3) Hinduism (4) Buddhism Mother‟s Education: (1)
Preliminary Requirement: Students have to install IBM SPSS (any version) on their computers. Students are required to obtain the SPSS software by themselves.
Assignment 2 Requirements:
To complete the assignment, you are required to do the following:-
- Define the variables in „Variable View‟ of SPSS software.
- Enter the given data in SPSS.
- Paste the screenshots of “Data View” and “Variable View” in MS word*.
- Submit MS word assignment file in LMS.
